I “stole” this from Stephanie and Deanna, who got it from Deanna’s daughter, Lisa. And since it is Valentine’s Day, I ask myself “why not?”
Brag About Your Husband:
What is his name: Don
How long have you been married: 28 years in June of ‘08
How long did you date: 7 months, if that. 6 of those were the engagement part.
How old is he: 50
How old are you: 51
Who eats more sweets: me
Whose parents do you see most? His, but mine live further away.
Who said I love you first: Probably Don
Who is taller: he is
Who can sing better: Arwen. Seriously. I’ve never heard Don sing and we all know *I* can’t sing, so we had to produce children who could sing. After all, our last name is Presley.
Who is smarter: Depends on what the argument is about.
Who does the laundry: I do but he knows how and occasionally will wash something of his when I don’t get to it soon enough for him.
Who does the dishes: Chrystal. Isn’t that why we have children? So they will do the dishes? (when she isn’t here, we share the duty between Don & I)
Who pays the bills: I do the actual check writing, but it’s as much out of his pocket as mine.
His guilty pleasure: whiskey
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: Me – ity’s closest to the bathroom and I have a little bladder that wakes me up in the middle of the night.
Who mows the lawn: He does, but I don’t mind doing it sometimes.
Who has more friends: Who counts? Most of our friends are mutual (IRL). But *I* have the ccu-sisterhood.
Besides you, who is his best friend: Murphy.
Who cooks dinner: We switch off. He’s an awesome cook.
Who is more stubborn: DUH! – that was Stephanie’s answer, but I am using it, too. Like, HELLO?? I’m the Scots woman, he’s just Irish.
Who kissed who first: I have no recollection – think it was mutual.
Who asked who out first: He did, but I was out picking him up.
What was your first date: Checking his trapline. Seriously. I was this anti-hunting granola chick who fell head-over-heels with an Oregon Mountain Man. And in case you’re wondering: he didn’t catch anything in his traps that we checked, but we did get really close to a herd of elk that were chest-deep in the snow.
Who proposed: He did
Who has more siblings: He does, unless you count my foster-sister, Cindy. Then we’re even.
What is your favorite thing about him: he’s gentle, kind, loves God, and loves the outdoors and is everything I ever wanted in a man … I don’t have one favorite thing about him…
